Peter Anthony Zovi

Peter Anthony Zovi, 70, from Hartville, WY died unexpectedly in Swan Valley, ID November 3, 2012. Pete was enjoying a day of hunting with the family when the Lord took him home to be with his wife Carol who passed on earlier this year. Pete was born April 29, 1942, and raised in Hartville, WY. After graduating from Sunrise High School, Pete continued his education at the Electronics Technical School in Denver, CO, where he met his wife Carol. They were married in Denver, CO on May 18, 1963, then moved to Las Vegas, NV where they spent the next 32 years. During that time they raised two boys James B. Zovi (Rigby, ID) and Robert A. Zovi (Las Vegas, NV). Pete worked at the Nevada Test Site as a nuclear weapons electronic technician supporting the nation’s nuclear weapons testing program for over 30 years. Pete retired in 1994 and returned to Hartville, WY where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on the house he was born in, and just spending time telling stories with family and friends. Pete is preceded in death by his twin brother; Frank Zovi, Father; James Bruno Zovi, Step Father; Albert Testolin, Mother; Amelia Testolin, Sister; Carmen Thompson and wife: Carol Zovi. He is survived by his Sons; James Bruno Zovi (wife Tammy) and Robert A. Zovi (wife Jamie), four grandchildren; James Bruno Zovi Jr., Natasha Zovi Blackmon (husband Brandon Blackmon), nicole Zovi, Leanna Zovi and One Great-grandson; Caleb Blackmon. Pete, loved by all, was a great friend, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa who will be truly missed. Grave side memorial services will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012, at 1pm at the Hartville Cemetery in Hartville, WY. A reception will be held immediately following the services at the Zovi’s home, 816 Gamble St., in Hartville. Service arrangements are being handled by Gorman’s Funeral Homes in Wheatland, WY.
