Phyllis Jean Hall, 69, of Menan, died Thursday, January 25, 2007, at the Homestead Assisted Living Center in Rexburg.
Phyllis was born December 27, 1937 in Bemedii, Minnesota a daughter of John William Mercer and Agnes Mary Roy Mercer. She was raised in Minnesota and Spokane, Washington. She attended schools in Spokane. Phyllis was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a primary teacher, relief society secretary and ward librarian. She married Elmo Lee Hall October 30, 1955. They later solemnized their marriage in the Idaho Falls L.D.S. Temple in July of 1998. Elmo preceded her in death. She enjoyed the outdoors, handwork and flowers.
Phyllis is survived by three daughters, Debby (Walter) Deitz of Sugar City, Kathy (Stuart) Hardy of Menan, Janet (Dean) Christensen of Rigby, one brother Clifford Mercer of Rock Springs, Wyoming, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, one sister Luvere and two brothers Glenn and Larry.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at the Menan Stake Center. The family will visit with friends at the Stake Center from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
