Randy Kim Grover, 77, of Dubois, Idaho, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026 in Pocatello, Idaho surrounded by his loving family.

Randy was born on December 11, 1948 in Rigby, Idaho to Blaine Grover and Dorothy Weeks. He spent his summers with his dad farming in Ririe and Dubois and his school years in Kansas City with his mom and stepfather. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Arts Education from Brigham Young University. Randy spent his life as both a farmer and a teacher and made his home in Dubois, where he was well known for his hard work and kind nature.

Randy was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in the Central Atlantic States. He married Barbara Pearl Barton in the Salt Lake Temple on June 25, 1971. They were blessed with 4 children (Shaun, Brandon, Todd, and Brittney). Following Barbara’s passing, he married Jill Vernice Winn in the Manti Utah Temple on July 1, 1994. They were blessed with 4 more children (Josey, Connor, Abby, and Joni). He had a strong testimony of eternal families.

He enjoyed fixing and restoring tractors, playing cards and any kind of game with his family. He loved going on Razor rides with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He loved hunting and was proud of his trophy antelope which is still #1 in Idaho and #9 in the world. He loved woodworking and built many treasured pieces for the community and his family.

Randy also enjoyed wood! Logging, cutting firewood, sawing, processing, and being a wood salesman. He loved raising beef and pigs and providing meat for his family and friends. He was a pillar of service in his community. He was always looking out for people and making every individual feel seen and loved.

Randy is survived by his loving wife Jill Grover of Dubois, Idaho; Daughters, Brittney Tomlinson of Monteview, Idaho, Josey (Easton) Harris of Richfield, Utah, Abby (Kordale) Harris of Weston, Idaho, Joni (Dave) Rowley of Logan, Utah; Sons, Shaun (Kristy) Grover of Terreton, Idaho, Brandon (Tina) Grover of Chester, Idaho, Todd (Kristi) Grover of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Connor (Brinley) Grover of Richmond, Utah; Siblings, Rodney (Sharon) Grover of Corvallis, Oregon, Sheila Lane of Washington, Utah, Kelly Grover of Pierce, Colorado; Step and Half siblings, Dave (Sue) Patterson of St. George, Utah, Loni Abercrombie of South Jordan, Utah, Curtis (Linda) Patterson of Maricopa, Arizona, Tarri (David) Leonardson of Dubois, Idaho, Bryan (Cinde) Grover of Salem, Utah, Brad (DeAnn) Grover of Salem, Utah, Kirk (Karen) Grover of Inkom, Idaho, Evan (Jodi) Grover of Vernal, Utah, Eric Grover of Gilbert, Arizona, and Lane (Rachael) Grover of Dubois, Idaho. He has 25 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren with many more to come. His Family was his greatest treasure.

He was preceded in death by his beloved first wife Barbara Barton Grover; his father, Blaine Grover; his mother, Dorothy Patterson, and stepfather Pat Patterson.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 5, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at the Beaver Creek LDS Ward Chapel in Dubois, Idaho. A viewing will be held that morning from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Dubois Cemetery.
