George Ray Bradshaw, 76, of Annis, passed away at his home May 10, 2010 after a courageous battle with Emphysema.
He was born 28 June 1933 in Egin, Fremont, Idaho, the sixth of seven children born to George and Jennie Bradshaw. He attended Egin Elementary school and St. Anthony High School.
On Dec. 17, 1953 he married Phyllis Stoddard in Egin, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple August 16, 1986. Each of their children was later sealed to them.
He entered the US Army October 18, 1954 and served for two years, part of which was in Frankfurt, Germany during which time he drove bus for the Northern Area Command Baseball team and USO Tours and other duties.
Ray was an excellent heavy equipment operator. He worked on many roads in Idaho and leveled many pieces of farm ground. He also drove bus for the AEC Site for 8 years.
He loved his family and worked hard to provide for them and loved his home and enjoyed the time spent there. He was known to spoil grandchildren and animals.
Some of the callings he has held are; Assistant Ward Clerk, Counselor in High Priest Presidency; twice, Ward Sunday School President, Ward Missionary, Missionary in the LDS Idaho Falls Family History Center, and other positions.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Annis; children George (Debbie) Bradshaw of Grant, Idaho, Robin (Randall) Eberline, of Soldotna, Alaska, Mark (Michele) Bradshaw of Annis, Brian (Leisha) Bradshaw, of Rigby, Idaho, Stacy (Amelia) Bradshaw, of Woodruff, Utah, siblings; Neale Bradshaw of Annis, Idaho, Marie Taylor of Rigby, Idaho, Mona Reynolds of Mount Vernon, Washington, Lauranna Porter of Richmond, Utah, Verla Archibald of Rexburg, Idaho,18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Gwendolyn Bradshaw, Betty Flint and brother Gale Mars Bradshaw.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday 14, 2010 in the Menan LDS Stake Center. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services Friday at the Menan LDS Stake Center. Burial will be in Annis-Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
