RAYELDA Peterson PFOST, age 84, died Monday November 13, 2006 in the Idaho Falls Care Center. Rayelda was born February 9, 1922, at Shelton, Idaho, the daughter of Raymond C. Peterson and Mary Ellen Cleverly Peterson. Rayelda grew up in the Clark area, and attended Rigby Schools. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Relief Society as a teacher.
She married Lavor Pfost September 23, 1948 in Rigby, Idaho. She enjoyed handiwork and crafts. She loved to spend time in Island Park camping & fishing. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flower gardens.
She is survived by one son Ardell Higley of Idaho Falls, Idaho. She is survived by six sisters; Francella Lee Tanner of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Bertha Heil of Brainard, Minnesota;
Gladys Tanner of Rigby, Idaho; Darlene Mickelson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Juanita Lewis of St. Anthony, Idaho; and Roberta Young of Rigby, Idaho. She is survived by two brothers; Dwain Peterson and Dale Peterson both of Rigby.
She was preceded by her parents, her husband, one son Rodney Pfost, and one brother.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 16, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery. The Family will receive friends Thursday 1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
