Reese Dewey Warburton

December 31, 1924 — December 18, 2016

Reese Dewey Warburton graduated from this earthly existence on December 18, 2016 in Rigby, Idaho. He was born December 31, 1924 in Kaysville, Utah to Ross Dewey and Lillian Grace Chadwick Warburton, the first of four children. He grew up in Grouse Creek, Utah and graduated from Box Elder High. He attended Utah State University and the University of Utah. The ranch drew him back to Grouse Creek where he worked closely with his father and later his brother. He married Irma Adams in the Logan LDS Temple on October 28, 1955. Six children were born to this union. He and his “Irma Gal” raised their family in Grouse Creek, Utah and were wonderful examples to their children of hard work, integrity, and testimony. He served with Bear River Resource Conservation and Development for over 20 years coordinating grass-roots projects in Box Elder, Cache, Rich, and Oneida Counties. He became known as Mr. R C & D. He also worked closely with the Soil Conservation Service. In 1986 Reese and Irma relocated to Cache Valley where he installed heating and air conditioning in many newly built LDS churches in northern Utah. Later he worked in maintenance at Campbell Scientific. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and accepted many callings through the years. He had a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon and how it changes lives. He desired to have the strength and commitment to endure faithfully to the end. He is survived by his children and spouses Sherisse and Darrell Meier, Carolyn and Ted Wood, Jeff and Cindy Warburton, Chris and Audra Warburton, Rosemary and Brent Daines; 23 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother and spouse, Dwight and Carol Warburton; sister, Carol Lind; and beloved nieces and nephews. He was also grandpa to a long list of adopted college students and their families. He is preceded in death by his wife; a stillborn son; parents; sister, Claire; and brother-in-law, Douglas Lind. A viewing will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. as well as Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Logan Utah Mount Logan Stake Center, 565 East 100 South, Logan, Utah.
