A Legacy of Faith, Love and Kindness
It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Reva Ellen (Beyeler) Parmer, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Ellen peacefully departed this world on May 15, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, compassion, and service.
Born on September 27, 1948, to Maxwell Frederick Beyeler and Reva Mae (Swenson) Beyeler, Ellen grew up surrounded by love. Her family taught her to love the Lord, do what is right, value education, and have a strong work ethic. Helping on her family’s ranch as well as working on her summer breaks as a “Mother’s Helper,” Ellen learned the importance of hard work and follow through. Ellen graduated from Leadore High School in 1967 as class Salutatorian and went on to attend Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. Throughout her adult life, Ellen became an integral team member of a variety of companies working most often in the capacity of office manager.
Ellen married Kal H. Parmer on April 26, 1968, in the Idaho Falls LDS temple. Together they raised a family full of love and laughter. Ellen was a mother who taught her children with love and passed to them her own love of reading and learning. She was a fun mother who let her children dream, experiment, and go adventuring on highways and byways, through fields of alfalfa and into the craters of dormant volcanoes. She always encouraged their sense of wonder along with their testimonies of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
Ellen served in a variety of capacities and positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints including many teaching and leadership callings in the Cub Scouts, Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society organizations.
Ellen had a remarkable ability to make those around her feel seen, heard, and loved. She was genuinely interested in other people and always thought of others before herself. Her family and friends are deeply grateful for the gift of her life.
Ellen is survived by her husband of 57 years, Kal H. Parmer, and her children Tara (Jack) Eastman, Jenna Parmer, Chase (Michelle) Parmer, Reese (Mary) Parmer, Bryce (Kellie) Parmer, Brian Parmer, grandchildren Jarika, Alazia, Destiney, Colton, Ava, Caden, Makenna, Olivia, Hailey, Avery, Kevin, and great grandchildren Olive, Nora,James and Alice.
She was preceded in death by her parents Maxwell and Reva Beyeler, a son Tate Parmer, and granddaughter Kelsie Parmer.
