Rhonda Tess Rodriguez

Rhonda “Tess” Cordon Rodriguez, 62, of Rigby, passed away at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Friday, July 10th, 2015. She was born January 13th 1953 at Rigby, Idaho, to Leo LaVern Cordon and Lida Rae Durrant Cordon. She was rasied and attended school in Rigby. She married Moises Rodriguez on January 10th 1975, and later gave birth to two beautiful girls. Rhonda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a stay at home mom but on the side was a caregiver and a volunteer substitute for the migrant students in the Rigby Schools. She enjoyed going for rides in the mountains and getting ice cream at the Swan Valley Store. She also enjoyed going camping with family and friends, bingo, BBQ, but the thing she loved the most was tending to her grandkids, Sonny and tending to her Roses. Rhonda will always be remembered by the friends and family for all that she has done for others. She will be truly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Lida (Josh) Brown of Ririe, Stepdaughter Ana Lopez of Idaho Falls, granddaughters lilliana (adopted), Kate and Hailey Rodriguez, brothers Marlow (Barbara) Cordon of Garfield, Vance (Sonny) Cordon of Ririe. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Angela, Sisters, Ladean Lords, Verna Mae Mueller, Cloe Ann Beebe and brothers; Blaine Cordon, Raymond Cordon and David Cordon. The family will visit with friends on Friday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street Rigby. Graveside services will be Saturday July 18th at 11:00 a.m. at Rigby Pioneer Cemetery with Bishop Cory Beebe conducting. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com.
