Richard Oscar Hart, 80, of Idaho Falls, died Friday, October 29, 2010 in Idaho Falls from complications of a stroke.
He was born May 29, 1930, in Idaho Falls to Charles Oscar Hart and Alice Hamblin Hart. He attended Menan Elementary School, Madison Junior High, and graduated from Madison High School. He received further education at Rick’s College. He served in the Air Force, stationed in Germany, and was honorably discharged on November 20, 1953. On July 13, 1955, he married Twilla Allen.
He was employed at Midland Elevators in Idaho Falls. He was later employed at Jack Thomas Grain and Livestock in Idaho Falls where he worked in the office for many years. Following his employment there he was employed for a short time at Idahoan Foods in Lewisville, Idaho. Richard loved supporting the local high school basketball and football teams. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting pheasants, flower gardening, doing crossword puzzles and putting together jigsaw puzzles. He was loved, appreciated, and will be missed.
He is survived by his children, Paula (Terrell) Tingey of Eagle, Idaho, and Blake Hart, of Boise, Idaho, grandchildren, Brent (Amber) Tingey, Suzy (Mike) Garrett, Greg (Jacqui) Tingey, Travis (Beth) Tingey, Kevin (Laurie) Tingey, great-grandchildren, Darin, Alison & Madeline Tingey, Anberlin & Brynlie Tingey, Kate, Faith & Jace Garrett, sister, Marilyn Holley and sister-in-law, Evelyn Hart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Gayle Hart, Ramona Anderson, Rita Willemsen (twin), brothers, Lynn (Buster) Hart and Norman Hart.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
