Richard (Dick) Carl Swager Jr. Richard (Dick) Carl Swager Jr., 65, of Boise, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2008 at a Boise hospital, of cancer. Dick was born in Amarillo, Texas on Oct. 25, 1943 to Richard Carl Swager Sr. and Kathlyn (Little) Swager. He attended ISU for one year, and then continued his education at Carroll College in Helena, Montana. He married Verna Kay (Chase) Swager in Ririe, Idaho on Nov. 13, 1965. They lived in Idaho Falls until 1992 and then moved to Boise and have resided there since. Dick worked for Idaho First National Bank, US Bank, Borg-Warner, Valley Bank and was currently a Senior Bank Officer for Key Bank. He was the President of the Eagles Lodge, 576 from 1991 – 1992 and for Eagles Lodge, 4332 from 1994 – 1995. He enjoyed photography, golf, fishing, riding snow machines, cross country skiing, and was a Boise State Broncos fan. He is survived by his wife Verna; mother, Kathryn; children, Teresa Correll and her husband Tim, Toni Anderson and her husband Kenny, Ron Swager and his wife Regina; sister, Judy Baily and her husband Bob; brothers Dave Swager and his wife Debra, Mark Swager and his wife Patti; 16 grandchildren; and 1.5 great-grandchildren. Dick was preceded in death by his father Richard Carl Swager Sr. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family will visit with friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, and for one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Thursday. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
