Rik Tor Rix, age 52 of Menan died Thursday, February 20, 2003, at the Eastern Idaho Regional
Medical Center. Rik was born January 7, 1951, in Springfield, Ohio the son of James Marion Rix and Alice Pauline Brumfield Rix. He attended schools in Springfield, Ohio. He attended Wright State University for 2 years in Fairborn, Ohio. Rik married Kitty Sue Barrett; they later divorced. He later married Kathy Bailey; they were later divorced. He married Jacalyn Gail Stallcup on November 26, 1993 in San Antonio, Texas. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as a Scout leader, young mens organization, ward executive secretary, seventys, High Priest Group and a home teacher. He was proud of the work he did as a contracting officer for the Department of Defense and he felt he made a difference. Rik was a
member of Beehive Rock and Mineral Club in Ogden, Utah, and the Idaho Falls Gem and Mineral Club. Rik was the best dad and husband in the world who enjoyed knife collecting, rock collecting, learning new things, computer photography, leather coats and collecting pens.

Rik is preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. at the Menan 1st Ward
Chapel (3547 East Menan-Lorenzo Hwy) with Bishop Spencer Kelsey officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday, February 21, 2003 at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. and prior to the services on Saturday at the church from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Burial will follow the services at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
