Robert Leroy Clark

September 6, 1940 — October 28, 2015

Robert LeRoy Clark, age 75, of Menan, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Robert was born September 6, 1940 to Lawrence “Lee” Clark and Belva Delsie Clark in Menan, Idaho. Robert grew up in Menan where he attended elementary school, Midway Jr. High, graduated from Rigby High School, and attended one semester at Ricks College. He worked at Boise Payette, and then started farming with his father, Lee. On January 18, 1961, Robert married Dorris Fay Clemons in Rexburg, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on April 12, 1962. He was an active member of the LDS Church where he served as young men’s president, Elders’ quorum president, and a counselor in two bishoprics. He also served as a ward clerk, and High Priest group leader, along with being a primary teacher and Temple prep teacher. Robert worked at the Temple as a veil worker and in 2003 left with his wife to serve a mission at Martin’s Cove. Robert is survived by his wife, Fay, two daughters, Kathy Jo (John) Poole of Menan, Nancy (William) Teuscher of Lyman, three sons, Bruce (Lynnette) Clark of Rigby, Blake (Stephanie) Clark of Dayton, Nevada, and Brett R. Clark of St. Anthony, two sisters, Glenda (Kent) Merrill of Pocatello, Carolyn Lee (Larry) of Terreton, 17 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Belva Clark, a sister, Margene Sheppard, and a brother, Jerry Clark. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 31, 2015, at 11:00 am, at the Menan Stake Center. Prior to the service the family will have a viewing starting at 9:30 am. The family will visit with friends and family Friday October 30, at the Menan Stake Center from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. Burial will be at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
