Robert I. Green, 74, of Roberts, died Thursday, August 10, 2006 of Cancer in Idaho Falls at the Gables. He was born August 16, 1931 in Menan to Robert Walter Green and Afton Ellsworth Poole Green. He attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1949 to 1953. On January 14, 1955, he married Glenda Rammell in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He worked at the Site for many years. He purchased a farm in Roberts with his Dad in 1960 and raised sheep. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bob loved his wife of 50 years and his family.
Survivors include children, Tracie (Rocky) Casper of Idaho Falls, Gina (Terry) Wade of St. George, Utah and Zane (Michelle) Green of Roberts, brothers Dick Green of Idaho Falls, Jay (Colleen) Green of Layton, Utah and Lynn (Nell) Green of Idaho Falls, 15 grandsons and 2 great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his wife Glenda, his parents and a son Zachary Robert Green.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 14, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at the Roberts LDS Church with Bishop Mitch Scott officiating. The family will visit with friends at the Roberts LDS Stake Center on Sunday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
