Robert Dwayne Hail, age 64, of Lorenzo, died at his home, Thursday, March 5, 2009.
Robert was born September 26, 1944 at Wendell, Idaho a son to Virgil Lavon Hail and Clara Virginia Bell Hail. He attended schools in the Lost River Valley area, graduating from Butte County High School in Arco. He was a member of F.F.A. in high school. He married Jennifer Jo Monson in Idaho Falls in June of 1964. They later divorced. He married Colleen Sanderson December 13, 1968 in Elko, Nevada. He ranched in Arco, Leadore, Ashton and Annis areas and worked construction for Bectel at the INEL for several years. He was a member of the Laborer Union 155 and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as Barn Chairman at Jefferson County Fair for many years. He was a 4-H leader and enjoyed working with the youth, hunting, fishing, horse back riding, ranching and cattle.
He is survived by his wife Colleen Hail of Lorenzo, three daughters: Adriann Lynn Hoydt and Sara Louise Hail both of Boise, and Mylie Anne (Stuart) Walker of LaBelle, Two sons: Robert Walter Hail of Lorenzo and Justin Dwayne Hail of Nampa, Idaho, his mother Clara Virginia Hail of Idaho Falls, two sisters: Katrina Woodbridge of Arco, and Terria Buckland of Idaho Falls, two brothers: Barry Hail of Moore, Idaho and Allen (Jodi) Hail of Rigby, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, two granddaughters and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held Monday March 9, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Lorenzo LDS Church (4223 E. 528 N., Rigby) with Bishop Jeremy Hall officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby and on Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
