Robert Eugene Jones Sr.

Robert Eugene Jones Sr, 92, of Menan, Idaho passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 at his home in Menan.  He was born December 11, 1929 in Ogden, Utah, the son of George Leland Jones and Doris Black Jones.

Robert was a veteran who served in the United States Navy and is a veteran of World War II. He married Bobbie Dean Heckart on January 24, 1950 in Sparks, Nevada. She preceded him in death on October 28, 1999. He married Sherrl Haddon in Menan, Idaho on March 9, 2000 and she survives him.

Robert is survived by his wife, Sherrl Jones of Menan, Idaho. Three daughters; Irene F. Seamons of Harrisville, Utah, LeeAnne (Kevin) Foulger of Ogden, Utah and Dorothy "Dee" (Brad) Mayes of Layton, Utah. A son, Robert Eugene Jones Jr. of Gunnison, Utah. Three brothers; Vernon (Ruth) Gilmore of Roy, Utah, John (Joan) Jones of Pleasant View, Utah and Leland Jones of Mesquite, Nevada. He has sixteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Bobbie Dean Jones. His parents. A daughter, Doris Dean Connelly, son, Donald Terry Jones, granddaughter, Shantel Foulger, grandson, Donald Garner and a sister, Donna Gayley.

A funeral service will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Eckersell Funeral Home (101 West Main Street, Rigby, Idaho 83442). The family will meet with friends prior to the service at Eckersell's from 9:30 to 10:45 AM.
