Robert Linden Staker, 80, of Rigby, Idaho passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.  He was born April 23, 1940 in Rexburg, Idaho, the son of William Ira Staker and Alice Cooke Staker.

Robert worked in the aerospace industry for Boeing. This profession moved him all over the United States.  He helped with the "Minute Man Missile" and International Space Station, a career that spanned 42 years.

Robert married Vicki Lee Koford on May 6, 1961 in Ogden, Utah.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Because he moved so much with his work, he and Vicki served in many different callings. He had the opportunity to serve as a 1 ^st Councilor in a bishopric in Abilene, Texas.

Robert loved antiques and had a great knowledge of coin silver. With his wife and his Chihuahua Chewy, he would set up a booth in Nashville, Tennessee and sell antiques.  He loved talking about silver and often got caught up in long discussions about it with his customers.

Robert’s greatest joy was his family, especially the grandkids and great grandkids. Camping was a yearly activity as well as family projects. He made walking sticks for every member of his family.

Robert is survived by his wife Vicki Staker of Rigby, Idaho, formerly of Huntsville, Alabama.  His sons, Robert Dean (Becky) Staker of Rigby, Idaho and Kerry Scott (Caryn) Staker of Pinedale, Wyoming. Eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Judy Hash, and Margaret Connell.

A memorial service will be held in Robert’s honor on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Eckersell Memorial Chapel (101 W. Main Street, Rigby, ID).  The family will meet with friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM.
