Robert Keith Telford, 67, of Monteview passed away in his home on Friday, January 26, 2018.Robert was born March 21, 1950 in Idaho Falls the son of Byron Keith and Diane Louise Fleming Telford. He was the oldest of six children. He attended Howe Elementary, Butte County Schools, and Firth High School. He graduated from Firth High School in 1968.After high school, he attended Ricks College where he met his wife, Cody Hansen, and graduated with an Associate’s degree in 1970.Robert and Cody married June 10, 1970 in the Idaho Falls Temple. For most of their married life, they lived in Monteview, Idaho where they raised their family of 3 sons and 4 daughters. He had several jobs throughout his life including: a meat cutter at Golden Valley Meat Packing Plant, general salesman for farm machinery, a Hostess Distributor, and 27 years at the INL as a Utility Operator.Bob enjoyed farming his 80- acre farm in Monteview, raising his garden, building model airplanes, and was an avid golfer. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in several callings throughout his life.He is survived by his wife, Cody, of 47 years, six children: Corey (Erin) Telford of Rexburg, Cammy (Paul) Potter of Chester, Melinda (Eugene) Gilbert of Rexburg, Hallie (Russell) Gunter of McCammon, Michael (Stephanie) Telford of Rigby, and Alecia (Jerik) Nef of Monteview, 24 grandchildren and one great grandson.He is also survived by his mother Diane Telford of Idaho Falls, and four siblings: Pam (Val) Klinger of Rigby, Brad (Linda) Telford of Medford, Oregon, Leslie Edrington of Spring, Texas, and Matt Telford of Filer.Robert was preceded in death by a son, Marcus Bryan Telford, his father, Byron Keith Telford, a sister Sandra Kay Telford, his Father-in-law George Lars Hansen, and a brother-in-law Hank Edrington.Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at the Monteview LDS Ward, with Bishop Kirt Hansen, officiating. The family will receive visitors Friday, February 2, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Rigby East Stake Center building (4021 East 300 North, Rigby, Idaho 83442) and on Saturday at the Monteview LDS Ward chapel from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at the West Jefferson Cemetery in Terreton following the funeral.
