Roberta Diane Choules, 77, of Rigby, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Rexburg Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born May 26, 1934, in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to Walter Martin Beecher and Lucie Marie Cantzlaar Beecher. She was raised and attended schools in Pennsylvania and Texas. On October 19, 1957, she married Ned Clark Choules in Dallas, Texas; their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls, LDS Temple.
Diane is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; she served in the Primary and MIA organizations. She enjoyed needle work, sewing, collecting antiques, reading, and was an avid horse person. She loved flower gardens and landscaping. She coached Illinois 4-H Horse Bowl. Her teams won state many times and went to National 4-H competitions in Pennsylvania. She was also an active member of and served as President of the Illinois Women’s Club.
She is survived by her daughters; Aline (Joseph) Brinkman, of Rigby, Laurie Sambrano, of Rigby, son; Brian (Lori) Choules of West Lafayette, Indiana, 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ned, and a grandson; Guy A. Poulsen IV.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Rigby South Stake Center, 106 N. 3800 E., Rigby, the family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Riverdale Cemetery, in Preston, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
