Roberta Geisler

November 14, 1935 — February 6, 2007

Roberta Geisler, 71, of Annis died February 6, 2007, at the Teton House Assisted Living Center in Rexburg. Roberta was born November 14, 1935, a daughter of Charles Robert Cox and Hannah Dora Blake Cox. She attended schools in Shelley and graduated from Shelley High School. She joined the Air Force in December of 1953 and served until December of 1956. She married Max Clyde Geisler January 9, 1959, in the Idaho Falls L.D.S. Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many positions. She worked for Ed Romack Accounting, the Jefferson School District as a substitute teacher and teacher’s aid, and for the Department of Energy where she retired in 1995. She enjoyed singing, reading, knitting, flowers, sight seeing and traveling. Roberta is survived by her three daughters, Julie (Lynn) Wilcox of Rexburg, Kaye (Lorin) Sommer of White Lake, Michigan, Gretta Johnson of Rigby, two sons Kevin Geisler of Oceanside, California, Darin (Timalee) Geisler of Rigby, three sisters, Elaine Keele of Nampa, Betty Lott of Sutherlin, Oregon, Rita Burtenshaw of Idaho Falls, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Max, five brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 9, 2007, at the Menan Stake Center. The family will visit with friends on Thursday evening from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel and prior to the services at the Stake Center from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by the Jefferson Veterans Team.
