Rodney A. Brown

Rodney A. Brown, 73, of Hagerman, formerly of Rigby, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Kiger Residential Care in Hagerman, Idaho. He was born February 23, 1939, in Circleville, Utah to Allen Irving Brown and Shirley Bernice Nay Brown. He was raised and attended schools in Richfield, Utah, graduating from Richfield High School. He then served in the US National Guard. He married Karen Yergensen; together they had 2 sons, they later divorced. He then married Judy Hall; together they had a son and a daughter, they later divorced. Rodney farmed in the Osgood and Hamer areas. He also worked as a truck driver, owned and operated a Phillips 66 gas station in Idaho Falls, and in construction as a heavy equipment operator. He worked hard, enjoyed fishing and hunting but most of all spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Dennis) Chisham, of Hagerman, Idaho, sons; Brett Brown, of Portland, Oregon, Kevin (Shonna) Brown, of St. George, Utah, Tyron (Jenifer) Brown, of LaBelle, Idaho, sister; Kathleen (Ray) Cook, of Idaho Falls, brother; Richard (Debbie) Brown, of Boise, Idaho, 12 Grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister; Karen Brown and ex-wife; Judy Hall. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday May 31, 2012 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby. Services are under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
