Roee Grigg

Rosalee June “Roee” Durrant Grigg, 66, of Idaho Falls, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 at her home. Roee was born September 22, 1948, in Idaho Falls, Idaho the daughter of Garvin J. Durrant and Perlee Wheeler Durrant. She was raised and attended school in Ririe until 1964, where she moved to Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School in May of 1966. Roee married John Mattox in Rigby in 1966. To this union they were blessed with one daughter Celeste in 1967. They later divorced in 1974. She married James Gale in Rigby 1979. They later divorced in 1986. Roee found her true love Darwin Grigg and they married on November 16, 1989, in Idaho Falls. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Roee worked for several employers during her working lifetime, primarily in the crafts or clothing industries. Roee was creative and intelligent and was expert in all needlework, especially knitting and crocheting. She won many ribbons over the years at the county and state fairs. She loved the outdoors and animals, especially her chickens and turkeys. She was very patriotic and enjoyed sharing her conservative opinion on local and government politics, often times calling into the radio station. Roee was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Roee left her family way too soon and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband Darwin “Dar” Grigg of Idaho Falls, daughter Celeste (Monty) Gale of Hamilton, Ohio, sister Chris (Gary) Meador of Davie, Florida, brothers Garvin “Mike” (Denise) Durrant of Casper, Wyoming, John (Rhonda) Durrant of Rigby, Step daughter Lorretta Lynn Skinner of Spirit Lake, Idaho, Step sons, Eron Grigg of Hamilton, Georgia and Carl (Tasha) Grigg of Coeur d’alene, Idaho, 1 grandchild and 6 step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held Friday March 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ririe LDS Stake Center. The family will gather prior to services at 1:30 p.m.
