Roland Elwood Prine, age 81, of Idaho Falls, died Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Morning Star Assisted Living Center in Idaho Falls. Roland was born April 16, 1936, in Dewey, Oklahoma, to Raymond Edward and Gerogia Esta Stroyick Prine, the last of six children. He graduated from the E.I.T.C. in Health. Roland worked at the I.N.L. as a Health Physicist and as an upholsterer. He served his country in the United State Airforce during the Vietnam War, serving in Germany and the United States and played guitar and sang in the band while in Germany. Roland married Mary Louise Grover in Idaho Falls, Idaho on January 3, 1987. He loved working on old cars and traveling in the United States. He was a loving giving person He is survived by his wife Mary Prine of Idaho Falls, daughters, Lurena (Kenneth) Cowart of Golf Coast, Mississippi, Carrien Phyllis (Richard) Dean of Golf Coast, Mississippi, Barbara Anne (Roger) Chaffen of Mackay, Idaho, Deanna Ruth Zimmerman of Chandler, AZ, Debbie Sue Rowberry of Reno, Nevada, sons Roland (Pamela) Prine of Glendale, AZ, Edward (Doris) Prine of Mudlake, Idaho, Annette Louise Harvard from Fountain, South Carolina, Brent Samuel Rowberry, Sisters, Emma Hoopengartner of Fresno, CA., 34 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Roland is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Georgia Lynn Rausch, brother William Edward Prine and sister Margaret Elizabeth Prine. Graveside services will be held, Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery at 12 noon.
