Rolla Leora Staggs

Rolla Leora Staggs, 82, of Rigby died Monday, October 30, 2006, at the Golden Pines Assisted Living Center. Rolla was born on August 8, 1924 in Gilead, Nebraska a daughter of Henry H. Willems and Ida Bodtke Willems. She was raised and attended school in Gilead, Nebraska and graduated from Hebron High School in Hebron, Nebraska. She was a member of the Lutheran Church and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary for several years. She worked for Idaho First National Bank in Rigby for 29 years. She married Kenneth J. Priest on August 5, 1946 in Bozeman, Montana. They later divorced. She married Raymond E. Staggs on July 26, 1958 in Afton, Wyoming. Rolla enjoyed her friends and family. Rolla is survived by one son Francis E. Priest of Idaho Falls, her daughters RuthAnn (Randy) Green and IdaMae (Niles) Hanson both of Rigby, and one sister Leora Engel of Fairbury, Nebraska seven grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel. The family will visit with friends prior to the services from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
