Ronald Deloy Albertson, 63, of Rigby, died May 9, 2009, at his home.
He was born March 6, 1946, in Idaho Falls, to Daniel Albertson and Ora Landon Albertson. He was raised and attended schools in Osgood. On January 15, 1965, he married Norma Daw in Osgood. He worked as a farmer in Osgood, west of Roberts all of his life.
Ron was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, water skiing, camping and teaching people how to water ski. He had a passion for steelhead fishing on the Salmon River.
He is survived by his wife Norma Daw Albertson, of Rigby, two daughters, Penny (Rocky) Frasure, of Blackfoot, Kristie (Rod) Laird, of Rigby, a son Wade (Lori) Albertson, of Rigby, a sister, Beverly (Rocky) Smith, of Boise, three brothers, Danny (Diane) Albertson of Osgood, Blaine (Sandy) Albertson, of Rexburg, Bart (Carol) Albertson, of Osgood, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Albertson, a brother Mick Albertson, and twin daughters, Jill and Jody Albertson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main St., Rigby. The family will visit with friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, both at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Grant Central Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
