Ronald Lynn Clawson, 73, of Roberts, Idaho died Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at his home. He was born January 7, 1938, in Ogden, Utah, to David A. Clawson and Olive Belle Marston. He graduated from Davis High School. He then served in the Utah National Guard and Army Reserves and retired as a Sergeant Major. On March 8, 1957, he married Jeanette Anderson in Layton, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. To this union they added 4 children. He worked for Questar in Salt Lake City, Utah and then moved to Roberts, Idaho 10 years ago. Ronald was a member of The L.D.S Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, four wheeling, and camping with his family. He had a good sense of humor and always had a joke to share. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Clawson, of Roberts, Idaho daughter, Jill Martin, of Rigby, Idaho, sons, Brad (Susan) Clawson, of Ogden, Utah, Brent (Melinda) Clawson, of Afton, Wyoming, Troy (Julie) Clawson, of Afton, Wyoming, a sister, Nicole (David) Christensen, of Layton, Utah, 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 17, 2011 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., at the Roberts 1st Ward LDS Church. Funeral services will be held, Monday, July 18, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. at the Oak Forest 1st Ward LDS Chapel, 2250 E. 2300 N. Layton, Utah. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Lindquist Cemetery in Layton, Utah, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
