Ronald Nelse Jenson

Ronald Nelse Jenson, 69, of Rigby, passed away August 26, 2009, at Rexburg Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born December 20, 1939, in Idaho Falls, to Eugene Jay Jenson and Erma Dean Jenson. He was raised and attended schools in Rigby and Ririe, graduating from Ririe High School. On October 2, 1959, he married Sharon Myler in Ririe. He was a cement mason and worked for several construction companies in the area. He most recently worked for Bateman Hall Construction Company of Idaho Falls. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the National Chariot Association, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Posse, and the Snake River Team Roping Association. Ronald enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trail riding with his friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Jenson, of Rigby, children, Scott (Jamie) Jenson, of Rigby, Kelli (Kraig) Bare of Terreton, 3 brothers, Monte (Kay) Jenson, of Ririe, Terry (Margie) Jenson, of Rigby, Tom (Karen) Jenson, of Rigby, 2 sisters, Deane (Blain) Skinner, of Island Park, Karen (Neil) Arave, of Hemet, CA and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at the Perry Ward LDS Chapel, with Bishop Alan Myler, conducting. The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
