Rory “Russ” Ray Guymon, 46, of Ririe, died Friday, September 10, 2004, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls of an aneurysm.
Russ was born on January 27, 1958, in Rigby, Idaho a son of Larry R. Guymon and Clella Ward Guymon. Russ attended school in Rigby and Bonneville High school. He enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany until his discharge. Russ married Rovilla Beardsley on April 29, 2004 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He learned to weld from his father and worked for many welding fabrication companies in Idaho. He enjoyed working with his dad and brothers building horse trailers and doing commercial welding fabrications. In recent years he owned Double R Trucking company following construction in the summer and hauling snow in the winter. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and quiet time fishing on the south fork of the snake river.
Survivors include his wife Rovilla of Ririe, Idaho, one daughter Aubrey Jean Guymon of North Dakota, two sons Rusty Jo Guymon and Dustin Ray Guymon both of Idaho Falls, parents Larry and Elna Guymon of Rigby, three sisters, Gina (Chris) Singer of Idaho Falls, Corrina (Doug) Ossmen of Rigby, Idaho and Monica (Chuck) Pauley of Idaho Falls, two brothers, Guy (Georgiana) Guymon of Rexburg, and Layne (Cheryl) Guymon of Rigby and one grandfather Mark Grover of Archer, Idaho, and 2 grandchildren
Russ was preceded in death by his mother Clella Guymon, grandparents Bess and Guy Guymon, Tom and Clone Ward and Erma Grover.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 13, 2004 at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel at 1:00 p.m. The family will meet with friends on Sunday, September 12, 2004 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel and prior to the services on Monday from 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Burial will follow the services in the Sutton Cemetery in Archer, Idaho under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
