Rosella "Rody" Christensen

Rosella Marie “Rody” Christensen, 70, of Terreton died Saturday, January 29th, 2011. She was born November 18, 1940 in Idaho Falls, the first child of George Heinrich Siems and Linnie Louise Simpson Siems. She was raised and attended schools in Shelley, as a youth she enjoyed roller skating, swimming in the canal, and tending to her younger brothers. On June 18, 1960, she married Gary Keith Christensen in Butte Montana. Together, she and Gary had 3 children, Cody was born in 1965, Wyatt, was born in 1967, and Cyndy was born in 1971. She and Gary farmed in the Terreton area for many years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Rody was good mother to her children and the children of her community. She and Gary enjoyed their children and went to every football game and wrestling match to watch their children play or cheer. Rody loved to garden, cook, and study archeology. She had 6 grandchildren who she loved dearly. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Louise (Keon) Underwood, of San Diego, CA, sons, Wyatt (Gail) Christensen, of Arlington, Texas, Cody Christensen, of Blackfoot, brothers, George (Vanece) Siems, of Shelly, and Stanley (Kathleen) Siems, of Rigby and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., prior to services at the funeral home.
