Rosetta Lois Purcell died August 4, 2018 at Eastern Idaho Reginal Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Born January 2, 1938 in Menan, Idaho to Jim and Leona (Gunderson) Purcell the second child with siblings, Marie (Don) Hill, Richard (Marian) Purcell, Tom (Carol) Purcell, Maurine Jane (Steve) Purser, John (Marlene) Quinn.  She was preceded in death by her three brothers Tom Purcell, Richard Purcell, John Quinn and her parents Jim and Leona Purcell. Lois was a member of the LDS Church. She attended Rigby Schools graduating from Rigby High School. After graduation Lois went to West Yellowstone to work the summer as a cook at Portman Ranch.  During that time the Quake Lake earthquake took place and she talked about how the noise was so loud.  She attended Ricks College and Utah State University in Logan, Utah pursuing a career in coaching sports at High Schools but along the way changed her path and got her beautician license and spent 53 years doing hair in the Snake River Valley.  She loved sports and followed them regularly.  She definitely loved the western culture and everything about it.  She is survived by two sisters Leona Marie (Donald) Hill of Heyburn, Idaho and Maurine Jane (Steve) Purser of Woodburn, Oregon. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, snowmobiling, going for rides, traveling, going to the fair rodeo and horse pulls and loved to read. Over the last 20 years a special family Bobbi and Zaren Adams took her into their life and treated her as one of their own Bobbi considering herself a daughter to Lois and took care of her until her death. Lois had a great deal of medical problems in her life but never let them get her down. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main, Rigby, Idaho 83442.
