Ross Jay Marlow

Ross Jay Marlow, age 50, of Rigby, died at Home, Saturday, March 8, 2008, he was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice. Ross was born November 16, 1957, at Rigby, Idaho a son of John Alvin Marlow and Rosemary Thornock Marlow. He attended Rigby Schools graduating from Rigby High School in 1976. While in High School he lettered in football and was active in FFA. He married Kathryn Lynn Murphy in Pocatello, Idaho June 11, 1977. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple June 12, 1992. He worked as a Welder throughout his life retiring from American Fabrication February 22, 2008. He was involved in Rigby Youth Sports and coached little league baseball. As a member of the LDS Church he served as Executive Secretary to the Bishop, Elders Quorum Secretary and on the activities committee. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to go hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling and playing with his family especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Kathryn Marlow of Rigby, four daughters, Maryann (Kris Moore) Marlow of Idaho Falls, Becky (Robert) Duncan of Rigby, Wendy Marlow of Idaho Falls, Hillary Marlow of Rigby, a son Ross Jon Marlow of Rigby, three sisters Edna Cuevas of Kerns, Utah, Joan (Ron) Owens of Elko, Nevada, Judy Marlow of Rigby, two brothers Glen Marlow and Lynn Marlow both of Rigby, three grandsons and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and 1 niece. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Garfield 2nd Ward LDS Church (71 North 3700 East, Rigby). The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Grant Central Cemetery.
