Rowena Beth Dixon Killian, 85, of Lewisville, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at Good Samaritan Center in Idaho Falls. She was born August 15, 1921, at Rigby, Idaho, a daughter to Paul A. Dixon and Nola Allen Dixon. She married Elmo L. Killian, September 23, 1940 at Lewisville. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served 21 years in the Primary Association, and served on the Stake Primary Board. She attended schools in Ririe, Idaho and graduated from Ririe High School. She served as assistant Post Master in Lewisville, Idaho for several years. She enjoyed hand work, needle point, and square dancing with her husband. She spent winters in Apache Junction & Yuma Arizona. She loved friends, family and traveling.
She is survived by her husband Elmo L. Killian of Lewisville, a daughter Dixie (James) Denkers of Salt Lake City, Utah, a son Wayne (Marge) Killian of Idaho Falls, a brother Allen Dixon of Idaho Falls, 6 grandchildren and 13 Great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Ruey Jean Rasmussen.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 24, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. in the Lewisville LDS Church. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
