Ruben Garcia

Ruben Garcia, age 34 of Rigby, Idaho, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022 in Kuna, Idaho of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Ruben was born February 20, 1988 in Van Nuys, California to Max Garcia and Elena Castaneda Garcia.  He was raised and attended schools in Rigby and attended Jefferson High School.  On March 13, 2009, he married Sara Forbush in St. Anthony, Idaho.  They were blessed with a daughter, Leticia.

Ruben worked in the oil fields in Midland, Texas, for Daniels Masonry in Rexburg, Idaho, TNT Masonry in Rexburg, Idaho, J & W Masonry in Rexburg, Idaho and for Amalgamated Sugar Company in Napa, Idaho.

Ruben is a member of the Catholic Church.  He enjoyed the outdoors; fishing camping, hunting and swimming; he also enjoyed listening to music.  Above all, Ruben loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter, Leticia.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Garcia and daughter, Leticia Garcia of Rexburg, Idaho; parents, Max and Elena Garcia of Rigby, Idaho; sister, Lorena Garcia of Idaho Falls, Idaho; brothers Sergio Garcia of Caldwell, Idaho, and Carlos Garcia of Rigby, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Lourdes Garcia.

A Rosary will be held Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., at Eckersell Funeral Home, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby.  Funeral Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church 1690 E. 17 ^th Street, Idaho Falls, Idaho.  Interment will follow at Annis Little Butte Cemetery.  Services are under the care of Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby.
