Russell Kummer, 34 of Lewisville, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
He was born October 11, 1981 in Rexburg, Idaho to Frank Archie Kummer and Marva Kay Burrows Kummer. He was raised in Lewisville and attended schools in Rigby, graduating from Rigby High School. Russ worked on oil rigs in several states and lived in Salt Lake, Denver and Lewisville. Most recently he was able to pursue his passion working as a music promoter in the Southeast Idaho area.
Russ was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved music, was a very talented musician and played the drum in several bands.
He is survived by his sweetheart, Sarah Kummer and children, Chayton and Sheyenne of Lewisville, Idaho; mother, Marva Kay Kummer of Couer D’Alene, Idaho; sisters, Maria Sato of Ammon, Idaho, Elaine (Jason) Forman, of Couer D’Alene, Idaho, Diana (Larry) Walker, of Springfield, Oregon, Nancy Kummer, of Boise, Idaho and 14 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Archie Kummer, and his grandparents, Marc and Bernice Johnson Burrows.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the Lewisville Cemetery . The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby.
