Ruth Hymas Taylor, age 93, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Morning Star Assisted Living in Idaho Falls. Ruth was born in Lewiston, Utah a daughter to Newel Hymas and Annie Lauretta Panter Hymas. She attended schools in Alta, Wyoming, Iona, Idaho, Driggs High School graduating from Midway High School in Lewisville, Idaho. She married Clyde William Taylor, April 7, 1943 in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. She worked for JC Penny Company for over 20 years and as the floor manager for 10 years. She was a member of the Rigby Study Club and truly enjoyed the association. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She had the opportunity to serve in several presidencies in the Young Women’s program. She was assigned as a visiting teacher when she was still a teenager and has loved serving as such for over 70 years. She enjoyed reading,painting and making crafts. She is survived by her children, LuDene Casper of Elk Bend, ID, UDel (Laina) Taylor of Richland, WA and Thayle (KimBerly) Taylor of Idaho Falls, ID. A sister, Carol Staniger of Springdale, AR. She has seven grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Her passion was her family! They were number one priority to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clyde William Taylor, a grandson Shawn Taylor and a son-in-law, LaMar Casper. A funeral service for Ruth will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Grant LDS Ward Chapel (3431 East 100 North, Rigby, ID). The family will meet with friends prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at the church. Interment will be in the Grant Central Cemetery.
