Ruth Ann Harker Williams, 92, of Lewisville, died, May 31, 2007.
Ruth was born May 11, 1915 at Lewisville to Parley Harker and Elizabeth Boyes Walker. She attended schools in Lewisville and Graduated from Midway High School. She attended Ricks College and Brigham Young University. On April 14, 1936 she married Daniel Findlay Williams and was sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple March 23, 1965. She taught elementary school for 25 years.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous callings. After retiring from teaching, she went on a mission to the Ohio-Cleveland Mission. She also worked in the Idaho Falls Temple as a temple officiator.
She was a member of the Jefferson County Art Guild and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed oil painting, quilting, gardening, journal writing, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Survivors include children, Parley Dwain (Janet) Williams of Lewisville, Marilee Ruth Despain of Rigby, Myron Keith (Karen) Williams of Rigby, Daniel Amos (LaRae) Williams of Menan; one daughter-in-law Kay Williams Winchester, 23 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and one brother Eldon David Harker of Idaho Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Findlay Williams, two children Alma Wendell Williams and Donna Williams Godfrey and six grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 4, 2007 at 11:00 a.m., at the Lewisville LDS Chapel. The family will meet with friends Sunday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Lewisville Cemetery.
