Ryan “Ole” Jensen, age 72, of Rigby, passed away suddenly on November 14, 2024 at EIRMC surrounded by his family.
Ole was born on September 29, 1952 in Rigby, Idaho to Jerry O. and Enid Jensen. He grew up in Rigby and attended Rigby High School. Ole loved fast cars and enjoyed playing basketball, and golf. In 1971, he enlisted in the Army and served his country. Although it was hard he loved his country and fellow servicemen and women. Upon returning home, he met the love of his life Cindie Hinckley. They were married in 1976 and sealed a year later in the Idaho Falls temple for time and all eternity. Cindie opened the world of horses to Ole; he found a love for cutter and flat track racing. Ole worked training race horses and pouring concrete. He knew how to work hard and built a successful concrete business that allowed him to support his family.
Ole was blessed with 5 daughters and 2 boys. They were his pride and joy. He loved supporting them in all their activities and adventures. Ole was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was kind, loving, and quite a character. As the years went on, he ventured into the barrel horse world, where he fell in love again with fast horses. If he wasn’t taking care of his barrel horses you could find him on the golf course. The golf course truly was his second home with the guys in the 2 o’clock game.
Ole is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cindie Jensen, his daughters Kim (Mike) Clark, Jennifer Jensen, Angel (Jeff) Butler, Nichole (Shawn) Nordstrom, Lexie (Brian) Byrd, sons Ryan (Kim) Jensen, Greg (Rachel) Jensen, 21 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and his sister Kathy Miles. He is preceded in death by his sister Patty Jensen, his parents Jerry O. and Enid Jensen, and his in-laws Guy W. and LaPreal Hinckley
Funeral services will be held November 20th at 11:00 a.m. at the LaBelle 3rd Ward Church (4223 East 528 North, Rigby, Idaho).
