Ryan D Winters

July 16, 1992 — December 3, 2017

Ryan D. Winters 25, of Herriman, UT passed away Saturday December 2, 2017 at his home. He was born July 16, 1992 in Rexburg Idaho to Terry and Barbara Winters. He grew up and attended schools in Ririe, graduating from Ririe High School. Since he was born Ryan was very active. Always full of so much energy and life. But he could always bring a smile to your face. He loved participating in any kind of sport. Throughout his life he participated in soccer, basketball, baseball, swimming, wrestling, snowboarding and especially excelled in football and golf. He also loved to spend time outdoors, camping and hunting. That was if he didn't fall asleep in his tree stand. Ryan was a joker and definitely the class clown.  He never turned down a challenge or a dare. Many times this left him in unexpected circumstances. He also had a great love for weaponry. This included guns, sword, knives and explosives. He liked to experiment with Tannerite. His family would need to hide anything that they did not want to be destroyed. After Ryan graduated High School he decided he wanted to enlist in the Army. On his enlistment papers the reason he said he wanted to enlist was to gain a new experience  and he wanted to be a part of he worlds best Army and learn something new. His MOS was UH60 Blackhawk Mechanic. He loved flying in the helicopters. He served his bootcamp and AIT in Ft. Benning, Georgia. After graduating AIT he was stationed in Ft. Carson, Colorado where he finished out his career. On September 17, 2015 he married Madasyn Lovell. They stayed in Colorado for six months. After he was discharged from the Army they moved to  Salt Lake City, Utah. He then decided to go to work in Steubenville, OH where he worked on a oil rig as a floor hand operating various equipment, like fork lifts. His co-worker told us the most important thing he did was keeping everyone at work laughing and smiling throughout the day. He was never afraid to start a new journey wherever it would take him.  Ryan was loved by all and a friend to everyone. He had a great way of lifting your spirits and making us laugh. He will be greatly missed by anyone that knew him. Survivors are his wife Madasyn of Salt Lake City, Father Terry Winters, Mother Barbara Winters of Ririe, Sister Trisha (Tyler) Gardner, of Ririe, Nephew Zachary Tracy of Ririe and Niece Alexia Gardner of Ririe. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Terry and Carolyn Winters and David and Mickey Monroe and a brother Cody  Winters. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December  12, 2017 at the Ririe LDS 2nd Ward 14061 N. 130 E. with Bishop Jason Peterson officiating. The family will visit friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Ririe LDS 2nd Ward, and from 12 p.m. Tuesday prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
