Scott Christensen, 53, of Rigby, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at Intermountain Medical Center in Utah. He was born September 3, 1956, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Jay Christensen, and Shirley Rawle Christensen. He was raised and attended schools in Rigby. On February 14, 2003, he married Diane Christensen, in Ririe, Idaho. He worked as a Meat Cutter at Jones Meat; he also worked for H & K and Gneiting Asphalt. Scott was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; he enjoyed fishing, spending time with his dog, buddy, his family and especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife; Diane Christensen, of Rigby, daughters; Tawny (Chad) Hezeltine, of Boise, Amber Christensen, of Jerome, step-daughters; Tammy (Bob) Gomez, Rose Zundel, both of Rigby, a step-son; Steve (Raquel) Bodak, of Corpus Christi, Texas, sisters; Lawna (Glen) Neil, of Ucon, Joyce (Tyrone) Powell, Trudy Jacobson, both of Salt Lake City, Utah, brothers; Farren (Diana) Christensen, of St. George, Utah, Gayle (Cheryl)Christensen, of Ririe, Kyle (Kim) Christensen, of Rigby, Rafael (Maria) Reyes, of Boise, Jerry Patridge, of Florida, 15 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 7, 2009, at the Labelle 3rd Ward Church, 364 N. 4100 E., Rigby. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Sunday, December 6, 2009, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main St., Rigby, and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Monday, prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
