Shane Lavere Pitman, 29, of Phoenix, Arizona died Sunday, August 1, 2004. Shane was born on November 8, 1974 in Idaho Falls, Idaho the son of Lavere Baron Pitman and Cicilia May Blodgett Pitman. Shane attended school in Pocatello, Idaho Falls, Priest River, Boise and graduated from Rigby High School. Shane was currently attending Harley Davidson Mechanic School. He served in the United States Army for 3 years serving in Hawaii, Japan, and Haitti. Shane was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Shane enjoyed running track, backpacking, camping, and scuba diving.
Survivors include his father Lavere (Keziah) Pitman of Blanchard, Idaho, Mother Cicilia (Tom) Reynolds of Boise, Idaho, sister Jamie (Kyle) Jackson of Colorado, brother Thomas Reynolds of Boise, Idaho grandparents AJ and Lola McNeece of Rigby, Idaho
Shane was preceded in death by his grandmother Sophia Wheeler.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 6, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. in the Eckersell Memorial Chapel 101 West Main Street. Rigby, with Bishop J. Marden Sievers officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
