Shannon Maurine Jaramillo

Shannon Maurine Jaramillo, 67, of Menan, passed away July 1, 2008 at Madison Memorial Hospital. She was born September 24, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Elmo T. Haggerty and Donna F. Davidson. Since her father was a salesman, she spent her childhood in various parts of Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, and Idaho. She graduated from Missoula High School in 1959 and later moved back to Idaho where she met and married her husband Leandro (Lee) Jaramillo. They lived in both Oregon and Idaho but eventually made Menan their permanent home where they raised their four children. She was a very creative person who enjoyed painting, crocheting, and quilting as well as spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband Lee; of Menan, children, Anthony Jaramillo (Laurie) of Ashton, Angela Sims (Steve) Garcia, of Grand Junction, Co., Daniel Jaramillo of Menan, Michael Jaramillo (Shawndell) of Kuna, Id.; sisters, Patti Lee of Clear Lake, Ca., and Erin D’Armond of Nevada City, Ca.; brother Dennis Haggerty (Brenda) of Pavillion, Wy.; cousins, Marsha Peterson of Sonoma, CA, and Carol Evans of Tuscon Az; eight grand children; four great grand children; and many, many friends. Funeral services will be held at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby on July 5, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. The family will visit with friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., prior to service.
