Sharon Crystal Martinsen

Sharon Crystal Martinsen, 70, of Rigby, died March 13, 2010 Quartzsite, Arizona. She was born June 9, 1939, in Idaho Falls, to David Floyd Crystal and Harriet Eunice Johnson. She was raised and attended schools in Garfield and Rigby. On February 3, 1954, she married Gary L. Martinsen in Idaho Falls; their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on October 29, 2002. She worked for City Drug in Ashton and the Ashton Bowling Alley. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sharon enjoyed crossword puzzles, Jeapordy, crocheting, cooking, traveling to the cabin at Palisades and wintering in Quartizite, Arizona. She especially adored her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Gary L. Martinsen, of Rigby, daughters; Cindy (J.T.) Hill, of Salem, ID, Susan (Denton) Allen, of Newdale, ID Peggy Oram, of Cody, WY, sons; Craig L. (Janice) Martinsen, of Salem, OR, Neil Ray (Gayle) Martinsen, of Midvale, UT, Rodney J. (Elizabeth) Martinsen of Calgary, Canada, sisters; Loa Joy Crystal, of Idaho Falls, Diane Nielson, of Idaho Falls, Brothers; Ronald Floyd (Karen) Crystal, of Garfield, Terry Lynn (Leah) Crystal, of Boise, 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother; Larry Ray Crystal, a granddaughter; Breanne Hill, and a son-in-law; Trent J. Oram. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at the Rigby 12th Ward LDS Church, 602 Sundance, Rigby, with Bishop Ron Young conducting. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Grant Central Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
