Shawnda Shereese Mobley

Shawnda Shareese Mobley passed away peacefully at home in Idaho Falls, Idaho at the age of 52 from cancer. Shawnda was born on November 13, 1973, in Rexburg, Idaho. She was the sixth of eight children born to Nikki Jean Jacobs and Vernnon Luallen Mobley. She grew up in Menan, Idaho and attended Rigby High School. 

Over the years, Shawnda attended Development Workshop, Joshua D. Smith Foundation, SNAP (Special Needs Adult Primary), and Dinner & Bowling Club. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints. Shawnda lived at New Beginnings Community Living Home in Idaho Falls for the last 6 years.

Shawnda was a happy person with a stubborn streak. She loved to tease, play pranks on others, and joke around. She did not like being told what to do, instead she liked telling people what to do. She was a little bossy. She enjoyed playing games, watching tv, eating out, and going on outings. She was quite the character and will be missed by her family and friends.

Shawnda is survived by her mother Nikki Mobley of Idaho Falls, brother Shannon Mobley of Michigan, brother Brooke Mobley of Idaho Falls, brother Cody Mobley of Rigby, Idaho, sister SaRena Barker (Scott) of Idaho Falls, brother Jordan Mobley (Misti) of Idaho Falls, and brother Logan Mobley of Idaho Falls, and nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, father Vernnon, brother Brandon, and two nieces.

Shawnda will be buried at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery. 

As a family, we thank the staff at New Beginnings, Oakstone Hospice, and all others whom helped care for Shawnda over the years and did an amazing job. Thank you!
