Shirley Mae Burke

Shirley Mae Burke, age 76, formerly of Rome, Georgia passed away at her home in Rigby, Idaho, May 11, 2019 following a lengthy illness. Shirley was born July 12, 1942, in Rome, Georgia the daughter of Daniel & Lillian Tate Castleberry. She was raised and attended school in Conyers, Rockdale County, Georgia.

On June 18, 1964, she married Charles Dean Burke in Fulton County Court House, Atlanta, Georgia.   Shirley was a member of the Baptist Church. She worked as an administrative assistant in housekeeping at the Georgia Baptist Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia for 15 years. She enjoyed reading and collecting coins.

Shirley is survived by her husband Charles “Dean” Burke of Rigby, son Jeffery (Paula) Burke of Rexburg, 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
