Shirley Ann Winchester, 64, of Rigby, Idaho, died Monday, February 14, 2005 in Rexburg, Idaho at the Rexburg Nursing Center.
Shirley was born August 22, 1940 in Idaho Falls, Idaho the daughter of Melvin James Winchester and Ida Grace Lee Winchester. She attended schools in Rigby, Idaho and graduated from Rigby High School.
She married Gayland White in Rigby, Idaho. They later divorced. She married Duane Killian in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They later divorced.
She was a member of the LDS Church and had served as a primary teacher and a counselor in the Relief Society. She was a volunteer leader with Girl Scouts of America and worked for the Boy Scouts of America in the Teton Peaks Council for several years. She worked for Idaho Fresh Pak in Lewisville, Idaho and as a Certified Nurses Assistant with Western Visiting Nurses.
She enjoyed quilting, pinochle, reading and crocheting afghans.
Shirley is survived by a daughter, Wendy Acasta of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Two sons, Gregg H. (Angela) White of Fowler, Colorado and Allen J. White of Muskogea, Oklahoma. Two sisters, Marjorie (Keith) Scott or Rigby, Idaho and JoAnn Crabtree of Anaconda, Montana. Three brothers, Duane (Marie) Winchester of Ogden, Utah, Ronald Winchester of Sacramento, California and Jack (Kay) Winchester of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Eight grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Gayla Lyn White and a brother.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 18, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rigby East Stake Center with Bishop David Briggs officiating. The family will meet with friends Thursday, February 17, 2005 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel and on Friday, February 18, 2005 from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. in the Rigby East Stake Center. Burial will be in the Lewisville Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home.
