Stanley Keith Colborn

Stanley Keith Colborn, affectionately called "Grandpa Stan" by neighbors, family, employee's and extended family, passed away peacefully at EIRMC Wednesday July 15, 2026, at the age of 91. Stan was born April 18, 1935, in Idaho Falls to Goldie and Kenneth Bural Colborn as their 3rd of 6 children. He lived in Ogden, Utah during the war effort, essentially grew up in Idaho Falls, and later on resided in Rexburg and St. Anthony.

Stan was married to JoAnn LaVerl Fielding in November of 1954. In December of 1967 he married Betty Louise Bouchee Clousing. Stan spent 69 years in the Bar and Restaurant Business and was mostly known for Me-N-Stan's Restaurants across the valley, but he ran restaurants in Idaho Falls, Rigby, Rexburg, St. Anthony, Jackson's Hole, West Yellowstone and Phoenix. He also packaged and sold Me-N-Stan's Products in his restaurants and in local liquor and grocery stores.

Stan is preceded in death by his wife Betty, a son, Brent, his brother Kenneth Bural Jr., his two sisters Juanita and Janet, a stepdaughter Toby and his parents Kenneth and Goldie. He is survived by a brother Von, a sister Evelyn, a half-brother Garold, daughters’ Lisa and Julie, sons, Kevin, Donae and Kris; three stepchildren, Terri, Rod and Russel. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.

Stan loved fine automobiles and car shows, gardening, and coffee and good conversation with friends.

A Joyful Celebration of Life is planned for August 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Crown of Life Lutheran church, 3856 E. 300 N., Rigby, Idaho. Cremains will be placed at Riverview Cemetery in St. Anthony, Idaho.
