Stanley Kay Jacobson

Stanley Kay Jacobson, of Rigby, passed away at home, Sunday morning September 24, 2017, at the age of 80, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 1, 1936, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Lathen Jacobsen and Eva McKay Jacobson. He grew up in Irwin, Idaho. He married Charlamae Spaulding on June 28, 1956 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They raised three children in Rigby two daughters and one son.  Stan worked for the INEEL for 40 years.  Stan was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He held many church callings, including Ward and Stake Dance Director, Scout Master, Sunday School Counselor and Teacher, Elders Quorum President, Counselor in the Bishopric, as a Temple officiator in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple and as a Ward Missionary. His hobbies included, dancing, horseback riding, hunting, fly tying and camping with his family. Stan is survived by his wife, Charlamae of Rigby, daughter Shonna (John Kevin) Allred of Rigby; daughter, Tanny (Bart) Cherry of Idaho Falls; son Jeff Jacobson of Ririe; sister, Maxine (Alan) Lazar of Palm Springs, California; sister, Donaleen (Deloy) Beasley of Arizona; brother, Roger (Colleen) Jacobson of Irwin, and sister, Jacqueline (Rhett) Bradford of Irwin. He was preceded in death by his parents Lathen and Eva Jacobson; siblings, Margorie (Donald) Kawaler; Phyllis Jacobson, Dean Berdette (Violet) Jacobson, Lathen Duane (Darlene) Jacobson and great granddaughter, Avalyn Davis. Stan loved his three children, his nine grandchildren and his eleven great grandchildren. He was a great example to all of his family and friends and will be missed by all. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the LaBelle 3rd Ward LDS Chapel, 364 North 4100 East, Rigby, Idaho 83442 with Bishop Joe Browning officiating.  The family will visit with friends on Saturday prior to services at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
