We want to let all our dear friends and family know that Dale Sterling Murdock, 76 passed away on October 13, 2025 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Dale was born to Sterling Alva (Bud) Murdock and Ruby Lorraine Palmer on October 17, 1948, in Driggs, Idaho. He grew up with his older sister Shelma Miskin and younger sister Janice Williams in Terreton Idaho. Their mom Lorraine passed away from kidney disease when he was 8 years old.
Due to Lorraine passing, their father would later remarry Dallas Yvonne Williams (Dale’s school teacher) where they would be blessed with four more boys.
Dale was born with Alport’s kidney disease which continued to progress. During this time his Dad would try anything he could if it would just help the kidneys keep working. Dale continued to worsen until his Aunt found out about an experimental kidney transplant that was occurring in Denver, Colorado.
There he would be slated for a baboon transplant, right before his turn the other patients started passing away. His Uncle Wayne offered to give his kidney to Dale.
Due to this he became the 1st Uncle to Nephew Kidney Transplant, which thrived for 46 years.
During this time Dale would go on to graduate from High-School and then continue to serve a 3-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints South-west Spanish speaking.
After his mission he would go on to study for a Degree in Agriculture at Rick’s College in Rexburg, Idaho and finish his Bachelor of Science at University of Idaho in Moscow. While at Rick’s he would meet and marry Linda Coad and they would go on to have 7 Children, they would divorce 26 years later.
He would go on to meet Bonnie, who is the apple of his eye. They would later be sealed in the Rexburg, Idaho temple.
Dale’s family would grow once again with the addition of 2 Stepson.
Bonnie encouraged Dale to try so many new things, not only did she help him have wonderful experiences but, she loved and supported him through his 2nd kidney transplants along with other health issues that came as he aged.
During his time upon this earth, he did many things.
He was a farmer, worked for the Department of Lands, Pesticide Inspector and a Bus Driver after retirement. But more importantly he was a son, a brother, a husband, a dad, a grandpa and a friend.
He loved wood carving, fishing, writing and telling stories along with browsing for cars on the internet.
