Tara Lynn Pelton, 36, of Rigby, ID passed away on August 15, 2026, at her home, in Pocatello, ID.

She was born March 14, 1990, in Rexburg, ID, to Teresa May Adams and Wesley Duane Pelton, both of Rigby, ID. She graduated from Rigby High School in 2008.

She was engaged to Nick McIntire and took great pride in her role as a dedicated homemaker and mother. Throughout her life, she lived in Rigby, Idaho Falls, and Pocatello. Tara was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Tara loved being with her family and adored her children. She had a wide variety of passions, which included fishing, hiking, camping, collecting rocks, astronomy, and exploring music and film history. She enjoyed many different Arts and Crafts including, drawing, tie-dyeing, making jewelry and boxes.

She is survived by her fiance, Nick McIntire; her son Abel and daughter Alice; her mother Teresa Pelton; and her siblings, Trisha Pelton, Wesley Pelton (Marcy), Tiffany Larsen (Corey), Adam Pelton, Tana Swensen (Aaron). She also leaves behind 18 adored neices and nephews, alongside many other close and extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Wesley Duane Pelton; mother-in-law Ida DeAnn Hammond as well as many other beloved family members. 

Funeral Services will be held Thursday August 27, 2026 at 1:00pm at Eckersell Funeral Home (101 West Main Street Rigby, Idaho 83442).
