Tate K. Parmer, 44, of Layton, Utah, loving father, son, brother and friend passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in Sunset, Utah from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Tate was born November 5, 1971 in Rexburg, Idaho to Kal H Parmer and Reva Ellen Beyeler Parmer. He attended Midway Elementary, Midway Jr. High, Rigby High School, Hawkeye Community College and The United States Army Police School. Tate served as a military police officer in the US Marine Corps and the US Army and was honorably discharge in 2015 at Fort Leavenworth, TC Kansas. He served diligently and achieved the rank of Staff Sargent; earning several awards during his military career including a Bronze Star during Operation Iraqi Freedom and The Army Commendation Medal while training with the 14th Military Police Brigade. Tate was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of The American Legion.
He is survived by: his parents, Kal H Parmer and Reva Ellen Parmer, of Layton, Utah; a son, Colten J.A. Parmer; a step-son, Austin D. Nalder; his sisters, Tara Parmer Eastman (Jack Eastman) and Jenna Parmer; his brothers, Chase Parmer (Michelle), Reese Parmer (Mary), Bryce Parmer (Kelly), and Brian Parmer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Theodore A. and Helen M. Parmer and grandfather, Maxwell F. Beyeler.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the Menan 2nd ward LDS Chapel, 3547 E. Menan-Lorenzo Hwy, Menan, ID. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, ID.
