Listen to Obituary

Tayson Paul Thomas passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026. Though his time here was far too short, he lived every day to the fullest and left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Tayson was born on March 10, 2006, to Courtney and Randy Wheeler. From the very beginning, he approached life with a fearless spirit and an adventurous heart. No adventure was ever too big or too small for Tayson. Whether he was fishing, hunting, dirt biking, or camping, he found joy in the outdoors and embraced every opportunity to make memories. Tayson had a gift for bringing people together. He could make friends wherever he went, and his outgoing personality made him the life of the party. There was never a dull moment when Tayson was around. His laughter, energy, and sense of humor brightened every room he entered. Above all else, Tayson cherished his family and friends. They meant the world to him, and he never missed a chance to spend time with those he loved. He shared an especially close bond with his little brother, Paityn, who was not only his brother but also his best friend and favorite adventure partner. Tayson found the love of his life in Teeshah Ladd. Together they built a life filled with love, hope, and dreams for the future. They were eagerly awaiting the arrival of their soon to be born baby Ryatt in August, a child who will forever carry Tayson's love and legacy forward. Tayson will be remembered for his fearless heart, his adventurous soul, his loyalty to those he loved, and the joy he brought to so many lives. Though he is gone too soon, his memory will live on in the countless stories, adventures, and moments shared with family and friends. Tayson is survived by his fiancée, Teeshah Ladd, and their unborn son, Ryatt, who is expected in August; his parents, Randy and Courtney Wheeler; his brother, Paityn Wheeler; his sisters, Natalee Wheeler and Kaezlynn Wheeler; his grandmother, Lisa Calonge; his grandparents, Randy and Judy Wheeler; and his grandmother, Kathy Wheeler. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were touched by his kindness, laughter, and adventurous spirit. Tayson was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Paul and Judy Thomas, Dean and Fay Woods, and Victor and Marcellene Wheeler; his uncle, Chad Wheeler; and his great-aunt, Vickie McKinney.
